Samsung is back with a new smartwatch after a hot minute since the release of Samsung Gear S3 which isn’t much of surprise. The company announced its Galaxy Watch alongside with the new Note 9. The Galaxy Watch comes in two different model (42mm and 46mm) which are set to be on sale nearer the end of August. Galaxy Watch features 3G / LTE connectivity and charges wirelessly
The 42mm of the Galaxy Watch will come with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, while the 46mm comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LTE capabilities. Despite the fact in the differences, they both come along with a 470mAh battery which is a better upgrade to Gear S3’s 380mAh cell, which Samsung claims will last up to seven days on a charge. “The AMOLED display is protected by DX+ glass which is both strong and scratch resistant,” Samsung said
Galaxy Watch Features:

- Either a 472mAh battery (46mm) or 270mAh battery (42mm)

- Exynos 9110 Dual-core 1.15 GHz processor
- A heart rate monitor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and barometer
- The LTE version include 1.15GB of RAM and 4GB of storage
- The Bluetooth version includes 768MB of RAM and 4GB of storage
However, the Samsung Galaxy Watch features 5ATM+ water resistance, fitness focus, and health-oriented features. Also packs the heart rate monitoring feature to build a baseline for each user. The watch can easily detect up to six different workouts and tracks over 39 different types of workouts including a built-in stress check like the Fitbit and Garmin devices. Samsung said the Galaxy Watch will be able to record more accurate heart rate data.
In addition, the Galaxy Watch will be launch in two different colors (silver and rose gold color).
Galaxy Watch Release Date
The Galaxy Watch will be available from 24 August in the United States while 31 August in Korea and other markets on 14 September Samsung Says
United States version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 42mm version will cost $329.99 while the other 46mm version will cost $349.99. The Samsung Galaxy Watch will be available on Samsung.com, Amazon, and Best Bug, while the LTE version will be available through AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Samsung.com later this year. No price tag yet.
