Fortnite: Battle Royale is finally launched for Android devices and if you are own one of the Samsung Galaxy smartphones or tablets that support the initial beta release, you can download the epic game and start playing the highly popular battle royale game right now.

As we have reported before, Epic Game has elected not to release Fortnite for Android via the Google Play Store. How can you safely download it and install it so you can start playing? Steps are below for safe installation.

Download and install Fortnite for Samsung Galaxy devices

Lucky for Samsung Galaxy users, the company makes a deal with Epic Game where owners of certain Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets can download and play Fortnite for Android beta ahead of other Android device owners. The list of Samsung products that are able to access, download, install and play the Fortnite for Android beta:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

If you own any of the above smartphones,  it’s easy to pre-install using the Galaxy Apps Store on your home screen. Click on it you will see a big Fortnite banner right on top of the store. Click on the banner, and you will then be prompted to download the Fortnite installer.

Immediately you tap on the installer link, it will download to your Samsung device (the installer is just 4mb in size) and then the installer will launch, but you’re not finished yet, it has another gigabyte to download which will automatically begin the Fortnite process on your Android download. You will be prompted to give permission to access your phone’s storage before you can continue.

Keep in mind that the install of the game will take 1.88GB of storage space on your phone, so it is advisable you have enough free space on your phone’s onboard storage, or via your microSD card.
