If you had SEGA back in the day, you would know what sonic entails, all you would need to do is dodge obstacles, collect coins and defeat the boss. It was fun and will always be a fun platformer game.

Here’s another classic from back in the day. I bet some of you would crucify me if I had made a list of platformer games and not include Contra. Contra is an old game that made our childhood fun. If you enjoyed it then, you’ll enjoy it now.

Your task is simple, evade and kill some bad sons of b***es! Sure you are ready for the task? There are a lot of enemies to kill in this game. Remember the story behind the game, if you survive, Earth survives.

• Swordigo

This one I had to download and check it out for myself because a lot of people were speaking positively about it in the review section. So, after downloading, here’s what I found. It is a 3D platformer, which takes platforming games to a whole new level.

Another thing I noticed is that the developers have gotten ready a plethora of enemies for you to fight. If I were to rate this game on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 9. It’s cool guys, trust me.

• Typoman Mobile

The last but definitely not the least is Typoman mobile. So, you are basically playing the character made of letters, your task is to craft words that will have an effect on the environment.
